ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

For customers in need of scalable, large volumes of green hydrogen, we provide a scalable infrastructure, which allows the production of green hydrogen at high seas to be delivered to pipelines, tank ships, and via standard gas tanks for further cargo.

In opposite to onshore and (as we call it) nearshore facilities, EI technologies operate in real offshore locations, where ideal conditions for own production of electricity occur and do not harm the environment.

who we are & what we do

Behind Energy Independence

EI Energy Independence is a cooperative Austrian / European initiative with the goal, to follow a new and simple idea in optimizing cost and efficiency in renewable energy generation, utilizing green hydrogen as energy storage and transfer medium.

The core idea is to ‘follow the wind’ thus utilizing the physical effect of power generation to the third power in relation to wind speed (PWind = 1/2 x ρ x A x v³) i.e. a raise of wind speed of 8 m/s to 10 m/s leads to a doubling of energy generated, similar applies to solar radiation and wave activity.

green GH2 (gaseous hydrogen)

Energy harvesting

An autonomous seaborne platform including the complete grid to produce and store green GH2 (gaseous hydrogen) called Energy Harvester, travels to the optimized harvesting areas supported with digital weather and harvesting efficiency models, enabling highest energy production efficiency and lowest specific energy cost.

The system builds on cutting edge technologies already established in industry and freely available on the market, thus reducing technological risk paired with invest costs to the minimum.

The project is deployed in three phases of 2–3-year duration each: Proof of Concept (PoC), Minimal Viable Product (MVP), Mass Production per unit (and positive scaling effects) with industrially viable GH2 production price at Energy Harvester.
